Helping water courses

All the cities I have called home formed around rivers, and these water courses are now brutally mistreated. Demonstrating there is sufficient inherent financial, social and environmental value to people, is an attempt to get them to extend the same respect to fish, birds and other beings.

Our cities grow around these vital arteries sending billions of tons of effluent into them which suppresses the natural systems rejuvenation response. All flats, marshes and tidal estuaries have been ben built over for their human property value. These concrete lined and waste choked rivers then struggle to promote life. Downgraded to throw away space, our most vital resource carry away bottles, cans, dust, grime, and lubricants. This water could be teaming with life both for biodiversity and generating gigawatts of clean energy for humans.

The opaque nature of water and the invisibility of Nano-particles have shielded people from seeing their impact. Building floating pontoons which generate energy, collect waste, monitoring and assist and monitor and visualise air and water quality, will allow people to understand the water courses and propagate plant and fish life. The short-term goal is to provide people the tools to see the potential for them to gain from the river, the medium term is to support them to take control and invest in sustainable systems the long term is to rebuild habit that oxygenation and cleans the water, foster aquatic life from fish and nesting birds to invigorating the silt bed to regain its digestive resilience for homeostatic artery to support life make these arteries healthy.
